Optimeering is on a mission to make electricity simply work better by harnessing the power of AI. We build smart AI software apps to support our customers’ physical power market operations, making them more effective and profitable. 

Optimeering is seeking a sales professional to be our new VP of Sales. You will grow and lead our sales and customer satisfaction activities, joining our growing team of machine learning engineers, software developers and power market specialists in Oslo.

About the Role

As VP Sales, you will:

  • Be responsible for and execute Optimeering’s customer sales and processes - pre-sales, sales, and post sales.

  • Build, develop and maintain deep relationships with key customers and potential customers in the power sector

  • Manage, organise and execute our sales activities and customer contacts

  • Be responsible for Optimeering’s CRM activities and systems

  • Have the opportunity and challenge to build an international sales team in the Nordics and EU as we grow


You have a love for sales. But more than that, you are driven to helping your customers be and work better, by:

  • Understanding their needs

  • Understanding how and where their existing solutions are falling short

  • Helping Optimeering’s product team to make sure our products meet these needs

  • Working with your customers to use Optimeering’s products to make their day-to-day operations more successful and profitable

You will have demonstrated results in B2B sales of technical or software/SaaS products. Our customers are experts in a highly specialised and technical area - power markets and physical power operations. The role will require you to develop a good understanding of the power market and our customers’ operational goals, workflows, and systems. You will need to be able to demonstrate to them that you understand their work, and communicate clearly the benefits of Optimeering’s products.

You don´t have to be a “power expert”, but will need to understand what makes our customers tick, what they need, and what their pain points are.  Experience in power markets would be great, but it is not essential - you will however have the ability and desire to quickly develop expertise in this area. A technical background and enjoyment of new, innovative technologies and tech solutions would be ideal. 

Fluency in Norwegian and English is required. You will be happy to travel to our customers in the Nordics (and later, Europe) when needed.
